Correa & Milá was one of the most influential architectural and interior design studios of the second half of the 20th century in Spain. Founded in 1953 by Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá, the tandem became the leading exponent of the so-called Barcelona School. Their legacy is characterized by an elegant rationalism that indissolubly integrated architectural structure with meticulous interior design, designing everything from leisure landmarks such as the Flash Flash restaurant and the Olivetti store, to major public interventions such as the remodeling of the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium for the 1992 Games. Influential teachers and referents of the Gauche Divine, their work ranged from sophisticated single-family homes on the Costa Brava (Cadaqués) to corporate complexes, consolidating a cosmopolitan, cultured and functional style that prioritized comfort and spatial continuity over empty monumentality.
