In this work Teresa Lázaro Bernadas develops a composition of great tonal subtlety, constructed by means of smooth gradations of charcoal that configure a scene of evocative and almost oneiric character. The blurred silhouettes suggest figures or presences that emerge from the landscape as shadows or memories, creating a silent and mysterious atmosphere.

Teresa Lázaro began her artistic career after finishing her piano studies and presented her first exhibition in 1959 at the El Jardín gallery in Barcelona. From then on she developed an active exhibition career with solo shows in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Perpignan, Lyon, Osaka, San Francisco and New York, as well as participating in group exhibitions and international biennials such as those in Tokyo and Brussels.

In addition to painting, he worked in engraving and lithography, and participated in artistic promotion, collaborating with the El Jardín gallery and Arte Difusión. His work evolved from a painting influenced by Giorgio Morandi towards a magical realism close to Dau al Set, also incorporating elements of abstraction and expressionism. The use of color and its nuances to create suggestive and mysterious atmospheres is one of the constant features of his style.
