Stella Manaut was born in Madrid into a family with deep ties to the arts. The daughter of painter José Manaut Viglietti, she grew up surrounded by cultural interests that would shape her professional and creative career.
From a young age, she focused her talents on the visual and performing arts as well as literature, developing an extensive career as an actress and playwright. Over the years, she has written numerous plays and has actively participated in cultural projects both in Spain and in other Spanish-speaking countries. Her literary output also includes poetry and fiction, genres in which she has received various awards.
Alongside her work as an author, Stella Manaut has dedicated a significant part of her life to preserving her father’s artistic legacy. To that end, she launched cultural initiatives, associations, and later the Manaut Foundation, all aimed at the conservation, study, and dissemination of José Manaut’s work. Thanks to this work, numerous exhibitions, publications, and activities have helped bring the painter’s legacy back to the attention of the contemporary public.
In the realm of poetry, she has published works such as *La risa de la luna* and, more recently, *Taxidermia*, in which she explores themes such as memory, love, identity, the passage of time, and the female experience. Her writing is characterized by a sensitive and reflective perspective, in which personal experience, artistic creation, and an interest in the human condition converge.
Throughout her career, Stella Manaut has established herself as a multifaceted figure in Spanish culture: an actress, playwright, poet, storyteller, and cultural manager, committed both to her own literary creation and to the preservation of the artistic heritage inherited from her family.
