Luis Marín G. was a Spanish artist trained at the School of Arts and Crafts and the San Fernando School of Fine Arts in Madrid, where he began a career focused on drawing and painting. From an early age, he received various awards, including Third Prize at the Madrid City Council Group Exhibition (1952), First Prize in Drawing from the Spanish Air Force (1954), and Second Prize in Drawing from the Spanish Air Force (1955). Throughout his career, he exhibited extensively, participating in group and solo exhibitions in Spain and abroad. Notable among his exhibitions were those held in Salamanca (1958), Paris (1963), the Hotel Meliá Princesa in Madrid (1972), the Carmen Andrade Gallery in Madrid (1988), Art Chicago (1991), and the Sofitel Plaza de España Hotel in Madrid (2002). In addition to his work as a painter, Luis Marín G. had an extensive career in the audiovisual and performing arts fields.
His artistic output remained rooted in abstraction, and he participated in exhibitions such as the 7th Abstract Art Salon of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors (AEPE) in 2024, as part of a posthumous tribute to a career marked by painting, drawing, and visual experimentation.
