Lounge armchair, model DS-127 designed around 1985 for DeSede.

Produced by De Sede, with inscription under the chair.
Measurements: 75 x 75 x 75 cm. 40 cm. (seat height).
The chair in tender presents a silhouette of marked disparity. The armrests, backrest and front legs are characterized by their convex shapes, which create a striking contrast to the angularity and linearity of the rest of the structure.
Gerd Lange is an influential German designer of everyday objects and furniture who had a decisive influence on the design history of the Federal Republic of Germany in the 1970s and 1980s. His chairs, in particular, were extremely successful. He studied at the Offenbach University of Art and Design and later founded his own design studio in Kapsweyer, Rhineland-Palatinate, in 1961. He has collaborated with publishers such as Thonet, Drabert, DeSede, Wogg and Kartell. Among his most characteristic designs: Flex 2000, Flex Chairs, SM 400 Swing or Space Age pendant lamps.
