In 1961 Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá designed the Reno chairs, armchairs and tables for the restaurant that gives it its name, located in the mythical Tuset street in Barcelona. For the design of this armchair, which was later produced and distributed by the Gres publishing house, Correa and Milá tried to reformulate the traditional forms of luxury tables based on their own contemporary vision.
The tandem of Catalan architects and designers Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá were prominent references of the Modern Movement. Correa and Milá followed the slogan that interior and industrial design were part of the same architectural project. Collaborators of José Antonio Coderch, they founded their own studio in 1953. Architecture of summer houses in Cadaqués, institutional and residential buildings, interior design for the legendary restaurants FlashFlash or Il Giardinetto and singular and iconic design pieces to equip their own works and for furniture companies such as Gres.
