Tender chairs are a masterful example of Danish Mid-Century Modern design, where functionality meets organic, almost sculptural elegance. They are distinguished by their lattice back: the teak wood frame has an elliptical or "eye" shape that encloses a woven cane or Vienna lattice panel. This not only adds visual lightness, but also allows the back to breathe, uniting traditional craftsmanship and modernity. This technique requires precision craftsmanship that today is costly to reproduce.

Ib Kofod-Larsen was a Danish designer who was active mainly during the 1950s and 1960s, creating pieces that are even more desirable today than when they were produced. Kofod-Larsen designed mainly storage and seating furniture for the Swedish market, although he was not a great success in his time because his organic design was too extreme for the taste of his time. In Denmark, on the other hand, his creations for the firm Faarup gained immediate recognition.
