The Lapiaz sideboard is one of Boca do Lobo's most iconic creations and one of the pieces that best synthesizes its language: high craftsmanship, noble materials and an aesthetic with a strong sculptural dimension. Inspired by karst formations - natural fractures produced in the rock - the design transfers this geological idea to the surface of the furniture by means of golden lines with an organic profile, which seem to open the lacquered structure and reveal a precious interior material.
The Black Gold version especially accentuates the contrast between the deep black of the high-gloss lacquer and the gold, polished and hammered applications. The result does not rely on added ornamentation, but on a formal tension that is very recognizable in Boca do Lobo's production: the closed surface of the sideboard is interrupted by a metallic "fissure" that introduces movement, depth and an almost mineral reading of the object. Its two modules, the compartmentalized interior and the brass base reinforce the constructive quality of a piece conceived in the territory of collection design.
