The Empire Center Table belongs to Boca do Lobo's line of sculptural pieces in which the firm reinterprets functional furniture from a perspective close to collection design. Its circular surface, with a sober and rounded appearance, is interrupted by organic golden cracks that evoke the idea of an open material, where brass emerges as a structural and expressive element. The firm itself links this model to the symbolic notion of power, permanence and reconstruction, with cracks that reveal a golden interior.
From a technical point of view, the cracks are made by hand carving and completed with brass sheets inserted and hammered by hand, which explains the irregular, vibrant and non-mechanical texture of the gilded finish. This combination of black lacquer and hand-worked metal reinforces the unique character of each piece.
