Space Age ceiling lamp with nine lights, from the 1960s, which is part of one of the most suggestive moments of international design, when the fascination with the space race and the futuristic imaginary permeated both the visual culture and everyday objects. This type of pieces with a marked sculptural character, reflect the technological optimism of the time.
Space Age is the name given to the period in which the space race was launched, beginning in 1957 with the launching of Sputnik. This fever to conquer space also reached design, and during the sixties and seventies a model of decoration was developed based on an idyllic vision of the future, and everything to do with spaceships, new technologies and innovative materials.
