This armchair is the Kosmos model designed by Augusto Bozzi for Saporiti in Italy around 1954.
A prolific Italian designer, in the 1940s Augusto Bozzi collaborated with Sergio Saporiti, founder of Saporiti. In the 1950s he began working with the famous lighting brand Artemide. He is best known for his lighting designs, such as the Eclisse lamp, the Nesso lamp and the Mezzolombardo lamp, but also for the creation of armchairs and chairs such as the one we are bidding for. Bozzi won numerous awards throughout his career, including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro in 1967 for the Eclisse lamp. His creations have also been exhibited in numerous museums and galleries around the world.
