DESCRIPTION
LIEVORE ALTHERR MOLINA (Spain, 1991) for Verzelloni Italy.
Pair of armchairs "Patty". Italy, 2005.
Orange textile upholstery with removable cover.
Structure in cold-molded foamed polyurethane with metal insert.
Measurements: 68 x 79 x 74 cm; 40 cm (seat height).
Pair of "Patty" armchairs, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina studio for Verzelloni in 2005. The set stands out for its continuous and enveloping silhouette, resolved almost as a single upholstered volume, where backrest, seat and side supports are integrated in a clean and rounded form.
Made with a cold-molded foamed polyurethane structure with a metal insert, they feature removable textile upholstery in an intense orange color, which reinforces the graphic and contemporary character of the piece. Its design combines comfort, visual lightness and a marked sculptural presence, close to the language of domestic and contract furniture of the early 21st century.
Founded in Barcelona in 1991 by Alberto Lievore, Jeannette Altherr and Manel Molina, the Lievore Altherr Molina studio received the National Design Award in 1999. Among its most emblematic collections are lines such as Catifa, Duna and Leaf, benchmarks of contemporary design for their balance between formal innovation and functional vocation.
