DESCRIPTION
PIERRE CARDIN (France, 1969) for VENINI.
Pair of sconces model 820.
Blown Murano glass amber color. Metal base.
With Venini stamp.
In working order. Original vintage piece. It shows signs of wear according to its age and use.
Measurements: 15 x 44 x 44 cm.
Exceptional pair of sconces model 820, designed by Pierre Cardin for Venini in 1969, one of the most unique collaborations between high fashion and Murano glass mastery.
Each piece is formed by a circular shade of hand-blown and hand-opened amber-colored glass, with a metal base. The result is a lamp of pure geometry and great visual presence, halfway between sculpture and lighting, fully inscribed in the aesthetics of Space Age and Italian design author of the late 60s.
Venini, historical reference of Murano art glass, gave these pieces an exceptional craftsmanship quality that makes them museum objects as well as decorative elements of the first order.
