DESCRIPTION
In the manner of MATHIEU MATEGOT (Hungary, 1910 - France, 2001).
Lamp, 1950s.
Black metal mesh.
Measurements: 40 x 20 x 20 cm.
Singular lamp from the 1950s inspired by the formal universe of Mathieu Matégot, a key figure in post-war French design and a pioneer in the expressive use of perforated metal mesh. The piece presents a geometric structure made of black metal mesh, where visual lightness and graphic precision are elegantly balanced. The partial transparency of the material generates interesting plays of light and shadow, bringing depth and dynamism to the space. Its language combines constructive rationality and sculptural sensibility, characteristics deeply linked to the work of Matégot and the modernist design of the mid-twentieth century.
