DESCRIPTION
Pair of lamps attributed to TEMDE LEUCHTEN. Switzerland, 1960s.
Pine wood, rope pendant and blown glass.
Measurements: 32 x 15 x 15 cm.
Singular pair of brutalist lamps attributed to Temde Leuchten, made in Switzerland in the 1960s. They are pieces of strong material presence where nature, geometry and craftsmanship are combined with a deeply sculptural language. Each lamp is composed of an organically worked pine wood trunk, a rope pendant and a blown glass sphere with bubbles, whose texture generates a warm and vibrant light of great visual richness. Their versatile design allows them to be used both as table lamps and as wall installations, expanding their possibilities within the space.
Clearly linked to the brutalist imagery of the mid-20th century, these pieces stand out for the honesty of their materials and the expressiveness of their raw and natural forms.
