Upper section is glass-enclosed with a metal frame and accessed via sliding glass doors.
Piece from the historic Aramis boutique on Barcelona’s Rambla de Catalunya.
It shows signs of use, scuffs, scratches, and wear on the metal parts.

Large-format display case, designed as a piece of furniture with an architectural presence and carefully crafted all-around visibility. The upper section, fully glazed and framed in brass, allows for an unobstructed view of the displayed items, while the sliding doors provide easy access to the interior. The slender, straight legs and the burl-veneered skirt add warmth and a rich textural quality, hallmarks of which are the lightness of the glass and the shine of the metal.

The combination of golden-hued burl wood, brass, and glass evokes the luxury European furniture of the 1970s and, in particular, the design language developed by Italian design of that period, which revived sumptuous materials within geometric and refined structures. The tubular railings emphasize its theatrical character and reinforce its likely original function as a commercial display case or a piece of furniture intended for showcasing collectibles.
