They show signs of use, creases, and slight scuffs on the upholstery, as well as scratches and wear on the wood. One of the armchairs is missing a piece on one of the sides.
Measurements: 97.5 x 74.5 x 72 cm.

The Lounger armchair features a wraparound plywood frame, whose curvature shapes the seat, backrest, and pronounced side wings. The visible grain of the wood is a hallmark of the design, contrasting with the black leather upholstery, which covers large, anatomically shaped cushions and separate armrests.

Its high backrest, reclining mechanism, and swivel base reflect a design concept specifically focused on comfort. Hayón reinterprets the classic lounge chair typology through organic forms and a marked sculptural expressiveness, combining traditional references with a fully contemporary design language.

Jaime Hayón was educated in Madrid but forged his career as a designer at Fabrica, the creative incubator run by Benetton near the Italian city of Treviso. His exhibition “Mediterranean Digital Baroque” at the David Gill Gallery in London, along with the bathroom collection he designed for ArtQuitect, marked the beginning of his meteoric rise to international prominence, which was cemented by the “Showtime” collection produced by Bd and his subsequent collaborations with leading brands. Among his most recent accolades is the “Designer of the Year” award from “Maison et Objets.”
