“Nirvana” reflects the understated elegance and functional precision that characterize Gabriel Teixidó’s work. The large version features a metal structure reduced to vertical planes with rounded profiles, between which the wide cylindrical shade is suspended. This open construction visually lightens the overall design and makes the frame an essential part of its formal identity. The fabric shade filters the light and creates soft ambient lighting, balancing the industrial precision of the metal with a warmer, more domestic presence.

Gabriel Teixidó trained at the School of Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts in Barcelona and began working as an independent industrial designer in 1970. His career is characterized by formal austerity, functionality, and a commitment to developing durable products, free from fleeting trends. Among his accolades is the ADI-FAD Silver Delta Award, granted in 1992 for the “Canaletas” bottle rack.
