This side table embodies the warm functionalism characteristic of postwar Scandinavian design, which was still prevalent in the 1970s. The teak frame combines gently rounded profiles, slightly slanted legs, and a suspended body with two drawers—elements that visually lighten the piece’s volume and highlight the clean, structured lines of the design.
The Formica top provides a durable and easy-to-maintain surface, in keeping with the incorporation of industrial materials into domestic furniture of the period.
