Designed in the 1970s by the De Sede design team, this two-and-a-half-seater sofa reflects the craftsmanship that made the Swiss firm one of the leading international names in luxury furniture. Its enveloping shapes and generous proportions were designed to offer maximum comfort without compromising an elegant and timeless aesthetic. The distinctive upholstery in thick, vegetable-tanned buffalo leather is one of the brand’s hallmarks, prized for its extraordinary durability, natural feel, and the patina it acquires over time, causing each piece to evolve in a unique way.
Founded in Klingnau (Switzerland) in 1965 as a workshop specializing in leather goods, De Sede brought the same high standards of craftsmanship used in the production of leather goods to the world of furniture. Beginning in the late 1960s, the company began collaborating with leading international designers, developing a collection of sofas and armchairs that soon became a benchmark for high-end European design. The brand has always upheld a philosophy centered on the quality of materials, precision in construction, and the creation of furniture designed to last for generations.
