Designed by Renato Toso and Roberto Pamio for Leucos in 1962, these sconces are a magnificent example of the renewal of Italian lighting design during the 1960s. Their composition, based on a delicate balance between an opal glass shade and an outer disc of clear Murano glass, creates a refined floating effect and a soft, uniform, and diffused light. The extreme purity of their forms, devoid of any superfluous elements, embodies the aesthetic of the finest modern Italian design, where technical innovation and Venetian glass craftsmanship come together to create pieces of great, timeless elegance. Produced by Leucos in an early production run, these models reflect the close collaboration between the firm and two of the great innovators of Murano glass design, becoming a benchmark of Italian lighting design in the second half of the 20th century.

Roberto Pamio and Renato Toso are renowned Italian designers who have made significant contributions to the world of design through their innovative work. Their studio has collaborated with prestigious brands such as Artemide, Foscarini, and Leucos, creating iconic pieces in lighting and design. Their work has received numerous awards, including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro in 1994.
