The work of Ramon Pons is characterized by a singular reinterpretation of the figurative sculptural tradition, where the classic and the contemporary enter in tension. His sculptures are based on historical, mythological or allegorical references and are subjected to a subtle but incisive revision. In them, the artist introduces a veiled irony that destabilizes the academic reading, transgressing and even inverting the traditional archetypes. This duality between formal respect and conceptual irreverence constitutes one of the most distinctive features of his language.

The artist vindicates the use of clay as a fundamental medium, highlighting its expressive capacity and the direct relationship he establishes with the material: an intimate, manual and physical process that reinforces the personal bond with each work.

Ramon Pons has completed his training in modeling and sculpture of the human figure in various institutions and with renowned artists, including Mònica Chavarria and Lúa Coderch (Massana School, Barcelona, 2009), Samuel Salcedo (La Bisbal Ceramics School, 2010), Jorge Egea (2012 and 2013) and Toshie Itabashi (2012).

He has participated in group exhibitions such as the XXXII Grand Prix d'Arts Plastiques de Le Fousseret (France, 2014) and in the exhibitions of the Cercle Artístic Sant Lluc (2012-2014). He has also developed projects in the photographic field, such as the catalog for the firm MINKY (2012) and the exhibition Vivint en el sostre del món (Torelló, 2010; Barcelona, 2011).

In the field of public works, he is the author of the Monument to Blood Donors (Sant Vicenç de Torelló, 2011) and the cauldron dedicated to the Flame of Canigó (Sant Vicenç de Torelló, 2009).
