In his work, the artist reveals the tension between the sculptor’s craft and the materials used. In doing so, he has succeeded in imparting a sense of lightness and stylization. In this work, the artist demonstrates a deep respect for the materials and fosters a dialogue with the viewer that moves the observer, combining strength and boldness with lightness and stylization.
He began his academic training by studying at the Higher Technical School of Civil Engineering in Madrid, where he spent his adolescence and early adulthood working in the field of engineering. From childhood, he possessed a highly developed creativity and a pressing artistic curiosity, as well as a particularly keen sense of spatial awareness. This vital curiosity led him to move to Zamora in search of new projects. In Zamora, he earned an Advanced Degree in Applied Arts with a focus on Sculpture at the School of Art and began to develop his own artistic language, reflected in his works, where the natural landscape, organic forms, geology, and the colors of open spaces serve as an endless source of inspiration for his artistic projects. Alongside his artistic practice, his passion for design has led him to create a line of furniture using steel and natural stone—his favorite materials. He currently balances his artistic work with managing a design firm specializing in natural stone.
