In this delicate bust carved in alabaster the artist portrays a young man of fine beauty sleeping on a violin. Her elegant features denote a certain classical idealization, although her expressiveness, contained and emotional, is typical of the fin-de-siècle period. In the piece one can appreciate the great elegance in the forms with which the gesture is composed and the tactile qualities of such realism achieved.
