Elegant bronze sculpture depicting an archer in dynamic tension, captured in the instant before the shot. The figure, of stylized anatomy and elongated proportions, reveals a clear influence of the Art Deco language, both in the simplification of volumes and in the formal idealization of the male body.

The composition stands out for the play of curved lines generated by the arch, in contrast with the firmness of the body, creating a visual balance of great sophistication. The polished surface of the bronze, together with the warm patina, accentuates the lighting effects and highlights the musculature of the model.

Sylvain Norga was a Belgian sculptor, active in the first half of the twentieth century, whose production is part of the decorative sculpture of classical inspiration reinterpreted under the aesthetic assumptions of Art Deco.
