This set of sculptures belongs to the Lindos series (1996–1999), one of the most significant projects from Luis Vidal’s early creative period. Through these works, the artist explores the ideals of beauty constructed by contemporary culture, depicting young people with carefully idealized appearances and an aesthetic influenced by fashion, advertising, and the media. Far from merely replicating these models, Vidal uses them as a critical tool to reflect on the transformation of the image into an object of consumption and a defining element of identity. The figures in *Lindos* captivate with their apparent formal perfection, yet this beauty is accompanied by a restrained expression and a subtle emotional ambiguity. It is precisely in this tension between visual attraction and psychological detachment that the power of the series lies.
Luis Vidal is one of the contemporary Spanish artists with the greatest international presence. Throughout his career, he has exhibited both solo and in group shows at prominent museums, galleries, and international art fairs in Europe and the Americas, with a presence in Germany, Denmark, Italy, Brazil, Canada, and the United States. Among his most notable exhibitions are *Eat Me Alice*, *Little Artist in Pig’s Land*, *Souvenirs*, and *I.D.E.F.S.*, as well as his participation in leading art fairs such as ART COLOGNE, Arte Fiera Bologna, SWAB Barcelona, Berlin Liste, and JustMad, in addition to the exhibition *Biomorph! Hans Arp im Dialog mit aktuellen Künstlerpositionen at the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck (Germany). His career has established him as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Spanish art.
