Carlos Cánovas Ciáurriz is a Spanish photographer, historian and theorist linked to Pamplona, recognized for his work focused on urban landscapes and everyday spaces treated with a sober, poetic and reflective look on the passage of time; In addition to his photographic production -with series such as Tapias, Extramuros and Paisaje sin retorno-, he has developed an important work as a researcher and professor of photography at the Public University of Navarra, and has been distinguished with awards such as the Príncipe de Viana de la Cultura in 2020, consolidating himself as a relevant figure of contemporary photography in Spain.
