The Kojiki is the oldest surviving historical book on the history of Japan.
Kitagawa Utamaro was an artist of ukiyo-e, a genre of woodblock prints and paintings that flourished in Japan between the 17th and 19th centuries. He is known for his prints of beautiful women (bijin-ga) and kabuki actors.
Sessh? T?y? was a Zen Buddhist monk and Japanese painter of the Muromachi period, considered a master of monochromatic ink painting, known as sumi-e.
