"Hokusai."
One of the books is about Utagawa Kuniyoshi and Utagawa Kunisada. Both were prominent masters of ukiyo-e, a genre of woodblock prints and paintings that flourished in Japan during the Edo period. Kuniyoshi (1797-1861) was known for his prints of warriors, legendary heroes and mythical creatures. Kunisada (1786-1865) was the most prolific ukiyo-e print designer of his time, famous for his depictions of kabuki actors and beautiful women.
The others speak of the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), a painter and printmaker of the Edo period. His most famous work is "The Great Wave of Kanagawa", part of the series of woodblock prints entitled "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji.
