Translation from the Hebrew of how Rabbi Moses Arragel interprets the Bible for the Grand Master of Calatrava. Illustrated with 334 miniatures, 6 of them full page. Explanatory book in English and Spanish. Friends of Sepharad Foundation. Madrid, 1992. The Biblia de Alba, so called because it belongs to the house of Alba, or more appropriately, Biblia de Arragel, is the translation into Romance language or Spanish of the Hebrew Bible, with commentaries also in Romance, carried out in the 15th century by the Jewish rabbi Moisés Arragel (Mosé Arragel de Guadalfajara or Moshe Aragel de Guadalajara), rabbi of the Jewish community of Maqueda, Toledo, by order of Luis González de Guzmán, master of the Order of Calatrava. It is a miniated Castilian text in Spanish Gothic style, as well as a peculiar example of Sephardic art.
