BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
Lamp following models Charles X; second half of the nineteenth century.
Opaline and bronze.
Measurements: 102 x 60 cm.
Ceiling lamp of six lights whose aesthetic reflects the refinement of the second half of the 19th century, following the models of the Charles X style. Its classic silhouette, heir to the French decorative tradition, finds balance between the solidity of bronze and opaline, which in this case is decorated with bouquets of flowers.
The aesthetics of Charles X was defined by the taste of an incipient bourgeoisie. The style of Charles X extended from 1818 to 1834, during the Bourbon Restoration. The aesthetics adapted to softer forms, with a clear influence of the Empire style, but with a clear adaptation to smaller formats.
