Mirror made by Edgar Brandt, one of the great masters of Art Deco wrought iron. The piece presents a circular format inscribed in a stepped structure, where the geometry of the whole is combined with a rich decoration of undulating motifs worked into the metal.

The design fully reflects Brandt's refinement: architectural rigor, technical precision and an ornamental treatment of iron that transforms a robust material into a vibrant and sophisticated surface. The interplay between the circular mirror and the stepped frame brings dynamism and balance, creating a piece of great mural presence.

Edgar Brandt was a leading figure in French Art Deco and one of the greatest innovators in wrought iron and artistic metalwork. A blacksmith by training, he transformed traditional techniques into a radically modern language, applied to architecture, furniture, lighting and decorative objects. He achieved international recognition after the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 1925.

His pieces, such as this mirror, are today highly valued by collectors and museums, representing the technical excellence, ornamental strength and sober elegance that define the most prestigious Art Deco.
