DESCRIPTION
English chairs. Victorian period, XIX century.
Set of seven chairs.
Mahogany wood and grille seats.
Exhibits wear consistent with age and use.
Measurements: 96 x 45 x 45 cm.
Set of seven Victorian English chairs, made of mahogany wood. They have an enveloping profile backrest, with sinuous uprights and wavy central crossbar, features that add lightness and dynamism to the design. The structure combines the solidity of mahogany with a marked decorative line, visible in the cabriole front legs, the molded profiles and the curved movement of the backrest. The grid seats, common in 19th century dining and lounge furniture, reinforce its functional and light character.
