Victorian English chest of drawers, made of walnut wood, with front organized in four drawers of sober lines and balanced proportions. The piece stands out for the decorative grain of the wood, arranged symmetrically on the front, a common resource in the bourgeois furniture of the nineteenth century to enhance the visual richness of the material.

The structure, of compact volume and horizontal presence, rests on small ball feet and is framed by simple moldings that accentuate its architectural composition. Because of its formal sobriety, material quality and storage capacity, it is a representative piece of Victorian domestic furniture.
