Baroque period compass, forged in iron. It is a handmade tool, endowed with great resistance, with friction joint and sharp points. The patina of time, the imperfections of the forging and the functional design of this compass connect us directly with the craftsmen and professionals who handled it, revealing the importance of these basic tools in the development of science, technology and art in the pre-industrial era.
