Spanish frame dated from the 18th century, it is made of carved and polychrome wood, showing the decorative refinement characteristic of the late Baroque period. Its rectangular structure presents a molding of balanced proportions, decorated with stylized plant motifs, applied with a polychrome that alternates greenish, bluish and ochre tones, now gently worn by the passage of time. The quality of the work is evident both in the fineness of the carving and in the chromatic harmony, which, despite the wear, retains a remarkable aesthetic richness. This type of frame, conceived not only as a support but also as an expressive extension of the framed work, reflects the taste for ornamentation and the integration of the object in the artistic discourse of its time.
