Set of twelve antique canes characterized by their handles carved in the shape of animal heads, except for one with a shaft handle. Mainly made of turned and carved wood, some of them retain traces of polychromy, which emphasizes the artisanal and decorative character of the collection.
The animal iconography was frequent in canes of popular and ornamental character, where the top acquired an expressive as well as practical function. In this lot there are zoomorphic figures of different types, treated with an expressive language, which provide visual variety and uniqueness to the set.
It is accompanied by a wooden wall cane holder, which allows its presentation together. Due to its unitary theme and its formal variety, it is an attractive lot for collectors of antique canes, popular art and ethnographic decorative objects.
