An 18th-century gilded frame, crafted from carved wood, with a molded profile and incised floral decoration on all four sides. The rectangular composition, with mitered corners, features understated yet delicate ornamentation consisting of flowers, leaves, and scrolls lightly engraved on the gilded surface.
The piece retains an antique patina that adds depth to the gilding and reveals the passage of time through small areas of loss, craquelure, and wear.
