The folder entitled Andaluces Universales, published by the Consejería de Cultura de la Junta de Andalucía, is a collective work of notable relevance in the contemporary Andalusian art scene. The set gathers fourteen engravings made by some of the most influential plastic creators of the second half of the 20th century in Andalusia, among them Carmen Laffon, Guillermo Perez Villalta, Francisco Peinado and Jose Duarte, whose trajectories consolidated new aesthetic views inside and outside the Andalusian territory.
The portfolio pays tribute to essential figures of thought, literature and the arts, offering a visual dimension that dialogues with the cultural memory of the region. Among the characters portrayed are Rafael Alberti, a fundamental reference of the Generation of '27; Manuel Ángeles Ortiz, an indispensable artist in the European plastic renovation; María Zambrano, one of the most singular philosophers of the intellectual tradition of the 20th century; and Antonio Gala, whose literary and dramatic work has contributed decisively to the configuration of the contemporary Spanish cultural imaginary.
