Ruinart arises from the collaboration between Jaume Plensa and the historic Maison de Champagne Ruinart. The piece consists of a special edition book accompanied by a cover-sculpture in laser-cut white iron, whose design reproduces the characteristic network of superimposed letters and alphabets that constitutes one of the artist's most recognizable formal languages.

The book documents the creative process and the dialogue between the artist and the French maison, integrating images of the workshop and reflections on words, matter and time.

Jaume Plensa has had an extensive international career, with outstanding exhibitions such as the retrospective held at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in 2000.

He has received important awards, including the National Plastic Arts Award from the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Medal of Knight of Arts and Letters from the French Ministry of Culture. His work is part of important international collections and museums such as the MoMA in New York, the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid and the MACBA in Barcelona.
