This original poster was designed in the early 20th century to promote the prestigious French bicycle brand "La Française Diamant". The composition shows well-known cyclists of the time, among them Émile Georget and Émile Friol, outstanding figures of the French sport. Émile Georget was one of the great riders of his time: he participated in nine editions of the Tour de France and became French road champion in 1910, thus cementing his place in cycling history.

Posters such as the one now being auctioned are highly valued in the art market because they reflect the social, cultural and technological changes of an era marked by modernity and progress.
