“Viva María!” (1965) is one of the most popular and colorful adventure comedies of 1960s Franco-Italian cinema. Directed by Louis Malle and starring Brigitte Bardot and Jeanne Moreau, the film tells the story of two women named María who meet in Central America in the early 20th century and end up caught up in a revolution, blending spectacle, humor, and action.
