“No Way Out” (1987) is one of the most notable political suspense thrillers in 1980s American cinema. Directed by Roger Donaldson and starring Kevin Costner and Gene Hackman, the film tells the story of Tom Farrell, a Navy officer who becomes embroiled in a dangerous investigation when he is accused of a murder linked to the Pentagon’s top brass.
The cast also includes Sean Young and Will Patton, and although it did not win any major awards, *No Way Out* was a box office success and is remembered as one of the most effective thrillers of its time, especially for its climax and Kevin Costner’s performance in one of his most iconic roles.
