*Much Ado about Shakespeare*, one of the most unique series of prints dedicated to the contemporary reinterpretation of the English playwright’s legacy. In this series, Dalí moves away from any literal or biographical approach to venture into a realm dominated by imagination, symbolism, and the free association of forms.
Internationally acclaimed following the retrospective that New York’s MoMA dedicated to him in 1941, Joan Miró has received awards such as the Grand Prizes at the Venice Biennale and from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Carnegie Prize for Painting, the Gold Medals from the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Fine Arts Medal, among others. His work can currently be seen at the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona, as well as in major museums around the world, such as the Thyssen-Bornemisza, MoMA in New York, the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, the National Gallery in Washington, the MNAM in Paris, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo.
