Original release poster for “Valmont” (1989), a film directed by Miloš Forman and based on the famous epistolary novel *Dangerous Liaisons* by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, one of the great works of 18th-century French literature. Starring Colin Firth, Annette Bening, Meg Tilly, and Fairuza Balk, the film recreates the refined and decadent atmosphere of the French aristocracy shortly before the Revolution.
