"Rich and Famous" is a drama released in 1981 and directed by renowned filmmaker George Cukor. The film stars Jacqueline Bisset and Candice Bergen, who play Liz Hamilton and Merry Noel Blake, two friends whose relationship evolves over several decades as their lives take very different paths. The cast also includes David Selby, Hart Bochner, and a young Meg Ryan in one of her first film roles.
It was the last film directed by George Cukor before his death in 1983, marking the end of the career of one of the most important directors in classic Hollywood cinema.
