The work clearly encapsulates the geometric language developed by Victor Vasarely, a leading figure in optical art and one of the great innovators of 20th-century European abstraction. Using a palette limited to black, white, and violet-blue, the artist constructs a composition with a strong visual impact, articulated through cut-out planes and organic forms arranged in a rigorous order.

Silkscreen printing was an essential medium in his career, as it allowed him to work with homogeneous chromatic surfaces, precise contours, and editions designed to broaden access to art. In this composition, the economy of resources does not limit the spatial complexity but rather intensifies the optical dynamism and the sense of latent movement.

Victor Vasarely trained in Budapest at the Mühely studio, inspired by the principles of the Bauhaus, and settled in Paris in 1930. Considered one of the leading figures of Op Art, his work is represented in institutions such as the Centre Pompidou, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Tate, as well as at the Fondation Vasarely in Aix-en-Provence.
