This work reflects Arman’s exploration of repetition, accumulation, and the transformation of the object within the language of contemporary art. The piece is based on the superimposition and multiplication of elements to create a composition in which the object loses its individual identity and acquires a new visual and symbolic dimension.

Arman was one of the leading figures of New Realism, an artistic movement that emerged in the 1960s as a response to consumer society and industrial expansion. Trained in Nice and at the École du Louvre, Arman was associated with artists such as Yves Klein, Christo, and Mimmo Rotella, with whom he founded the New Realism movement. His work, featured in major international collections such as the Reina Sofía Museum, MoMA, the Tate Modern, and the Centre Pompidou, cemented his position as one of the most influential French artists of the second half of the 20th century.
