Andalusian school of the 17th century.
"Virgin and Child".
Oil on fragment of coffered ceiling (carved and polychrome wood).
With inscription "A. Cano, Loja".
Measurements: 53 x 55 x 4 cm (total with frame).
The particularity of this Virgin and Child lies in the support in which it has been made: the coffered ceiling of a baroque ceiling. It represents the Madonna with the child in her arms, an image infinitely represented in the Spanish religious imaginary.
