Still life painting of baroque period. It dominates the composition a vase of baked clay, with a rustic and robust form, from which emerges an exuberant bouquet of flowers arranged with a studied asymmetry. The flowers, of different species and colors, intertwine to form a composition rich in chromatic variety: reds, yellows, whites, pinks, blues and greens. Among them are daisies, carnations, poppies and nasturtiums, as well as large, wavy leaves that overflow the vase. The background is dark and neutral, a common baroque resource that helps to highlight the color and volume of the bouquet, giving it a theatrical and contrasting character. The simple wooden table, barely visible at the bottom, reinforces the sense of realism. Each flower is worked with almost botanical detail.
